Recent Publications
IGIB researchers regularly publish in high-impact international journals, contributing to global scientific knowledge and technological advancement.
Whole genome sequencing of 10,000 Indian individuals reveals novel population-specific variants associated with metabolic disorders
This landmark study presents the largest whole-genome sequencing dataset from the Indian population, identifying 12 million novel variants and establishing population-specific genetic associations with type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease risk.
Single-cell transcriptomic atlas of human lung development identifies progenitor cells and pathways disrupted in pulmonary fibrosis
Using single-cell RNA sequencing of developing and diseased human lungs, researchers identified a novel progenitor cell population that is depleted in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, providing new therapeutic targets for this fatal disease.
CRISPR-based diagnostic platform for rapid detection of antimicrobial resistance genes in clinical isolates
Development of a portable, CRISPR-Cas based diagnostic system that can detect 28 antimicrobial resistance genes directly from clinical samples within 2 hours, enabling rapid antibiotic stewardship in hospital settings.
